Escondido's City Council was asked to hire Synagro West, LLC to haul biosolids away from the Hale Avenue Resource Recovery Facility and put them to beneficial use, under a contract worth $3,300,000.
The company would be hired through Resolution No. 2026-71, which would let the Mayor sign the agreement. Synagro West, LLC was the lowest responsive bidder for the work.
The contract would run from Fiscal Year 2026 through Fiscal Year 2029. The city would also have the choice to extend it for Fiscal Year 2030 and Fiscal Year 2031, and the City Manager would be able to sign the first and second amendments needed to do so without coming back to the Council.
