The Escondido City Council held off on deciding whether one lot at Hamilton Lane and Bernardo Avenue can be split into 5 residential lots, voting instead to hold the matter over and send city staff to meet with the applicant and the appellant. The vote to do that was 5-0, on a motion by White and a second by C. Garcia.

The Planning Commission had already approved the split, along with an addendum to the environmental document for it, and someone appealed that approval to the City Council. The Council was being asked to adopt Resolution No. 2026-90, which would have turned down the appeal and left the Planning Commission's approval in place.
